Prof. Dr. Rayhana Awwal holds MBBS, FCPS (Surgery), FRCS (UK) and MS (Plastic Surgery). She practises in Dhaka, specialising in plastic surgery, aesthetic procedures, reconstruction and oncoplastic breast surgery. She is a Professor and the Director of the National Institute of Burn & Plastic Surgery, Dhaka. Her work includes breast reconstruction and cosmetic breast procedures, scar treatment, persistent wounds, bed sores and reconstruction after burns or injuries. She also treats congenital hand differences, cleft lip and palate, facial and ear defects, skin cancer and ventral hernias, and performs eyelid surgery.
