Prof. Col. (Rtd) Dr. Shormin Ara Ferdousi

Prof. Col. (Rtd) Dr. Shormin Ara Ferdousi is a pediatric oncologist in Dhaka, caring for children with cancer and blood conditions such as thalassemia. The doctor holds MBBS, DCH and FCPS (Pediatrics), with a Fellowship in Pediatric Oncology from Tata Medical Centre, India, and bone marrow transplantation training at Tata Medical Centre and People Tree Hospitals in India. Formerly the head of Pediatric Oncology at Combined Military Hospital (CMH), Dhaka, the doctor also has experience in pediatric bone marrow transplantation, including for thalassemia patients. Families can visit Gonoshasthaya Nagar Hospital, Dhanmondi, from 9am to 5pm, Saturday to Thursday; it’s closed on Friday.
