The thyroid is a small gland in the neck that sets the pace of the body. An underactive thyroid (hypothyroidism) tends to cause tiredness, weight gain, feeling cold and dry skin; an overactive one (hyperthyroidism) causes weight loss, a racing heart, sweating and shaky hands. A swelling or lump in the neck is another common reason to see a thyroid doctor.
A blood test for TSH, often with T4 and T3, is the starting point. A lump or swelling usually needs a neck ultrasound, and sometimes a fine-needle test of the lump. Bring earlier thyroid reports and the names and doses of any thyroid medicine you take.
Seek urgent care for a neck swelling that makes breathing or swallowing hard, a very fast or irregular heartbeat with a high fever or confusion, or severe drowsiness and feeling very cold in someone with a known thyroid problem.
This is general information, not a diagnosis. Your own doctor will advise on your case.
Every thyroid doctor in Chittagong we hold a record for — 25 thyroid doctors in all, covering hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism, thyroid nodules, goitre, and other hormone-related thyroid disorders.
Open any of them to see degrees and training, years in practice, the chamber address in Chittagong, which days and hours they sit, what the visit costs, and how other patients rated the experience.
Take an odd TSH result, an overactive or sluggish thyroid, a visible goitre or a lump in the neck to an endocrinologist. They decide what scanning is warranted and when a surgeon needs to see you.

25 at the moment, each with degrees, chamber address, sitting hours and a contact number. New profiles are added as they are verified.
Mostly hospitals and diagnostic centres — Chevron Clinical Laboratory, Chittagong, Chattogram Metropolitan Hospital, Popular Diagnostic Center, Chittagong and Doctors Lab, Chittagong among them. Open any profile for that doctor's exact chamber address and the days and hours they sit.
There is no booking button here — open the profile you want and ring the chamber's own serial number during its sitting hours. That number and the sitting days are on the profile, and so is the fee where the chamber has shared it.
